2001. The journalist Denis Robert sets the world of finance ablaze when he exposes Clearstream Banking's opaque operations. In his search for the truth and his attempt to reveal the 'affair of all affairs', he ends up crossing paths with Judge Renaud Van Ruymbeke, well-known for his commitment to the fight against corruption, and in charge of the investigation for the Taiwan Frigate Affair. Their parallel enquiries will lead them to the heart of a dark political financial machine called the Clearstream system, severely shaking up the French governing class.
